Have You Lost Your Audience Or It Has Stopped Listening You?

Your readers already knows that you use your mailing list to advertise and promote your sales / services. However, they don’t want to be reminded about it every time they open their inbox.

This is why I speak so much about Value Content. You want to bring your prospects value in your daily communications so that they will transfer that sense of value o your offerings. Always have your reader in mind for everything that you write. If you don’t meet their expectations or requirements, then they’ll simply leave and get the content they need somewhere else.

A common example might be when you are promoting a new product or launching a new site. Or you have a brand new idea you want to "get out there". You want to get the word out but don’t just turn your whole focus inward on your own goals.

Your prospects (your list subscribers) still have their needs and they are looking to you for continued advice and support. If you talk about the same thing over and over, you might just turn them off and lose their attention and worse they may unsubscribe.

Be innovative, use your content to spark an interest in what you have, create a survey that deals with the problem your new offering will address, offer something free that your offering will later supplement.

Don't focus on your launch or new release, or new product, focus on how that product or service will help your prospects.
